Harmonizing Your Passions and Purpose: Crafting Your Ikigai Career Journey

Are you at the end of your studies and are you struggling with what is next? Do you feel like you have a multitude of passions and talents, yet struggle to figure out how to weave them into a meaningful and fulfilling career? Or perhaps you've discovered that your skills don't quite align with what you believe the world truly needs, leaving you with a sense of untapped potential.

If you've nodded along to any of these questions, then welcome to a transformative journey of self-discovery, purpose, and fulfillment. You've arrived at the doorstep of our summer course, where we'll delve into the ancient Japanese concept of 'Ikigai,' a unique and powerful philosophy that can help you find your true calling, unlock your passions, and turn them into a purpose-driven career.

In this transformative summer course, we draw inspiration from the revered Japanese philosophy of Ikigai to guide you in aligning your passions with meaningful academic pursuits. This journey empowers you to craft a profoundly satisfying career trajectory, resulting in a professional life that resonates with your true self and offers lasting fulfillment.

IKIGAI

This course starts with an overview of Ikigai, exploring its origins and cultural significance in Japan. We will then do a deeper dive on all the elements:

  • What you love
  • What you are good at
  • What the world needs
  • What you can get paid for

You'll focus on discovering your passions, interests, strengths, and skills. Through self-assessment activities and strengths tests, you'll gain clarity on how your talents align with your passions. You will identify which global issues deeply resonate with you and understand the importance of contributing to positive change in the world. You'll define your role in this complex global landscape and learn how to turn your passions and talents into viable career options.

The course concludes by creating your personal Ikigai roadmap. You'll set both short-term and long-term goals and define actionable steps toward realizing your Ikigai. This roadmap becomes your guiding compass, leading you toward a career trajectory infused with purpose and fulfillment.

This course is the second part of a trilogy, which includes "Part 1: The Science of Fulfillment" and "Part 3: Thrive in a Shifting World: Mastering Self-Leadership." While you have the option to take each part independently and still benefit significantly, for a more comprehensive personal development journey, we recommend considering all three courses. Each course is valuable and transformative on its own, but together, they provide a more holistic and in-depth transformation.
