Post-course practice
Upon successfully completing the "Essentials of Coaching" course, you will receive a Certificate of Participation with ECTS credits. Additionally, by completing the post-course practice to further enhance and solidify your skills, you will become a certified Level 1 Coach in "Essentials of Coaching." This certification marks a strong foundation for your coaching journey. The course is proudly offered in partnership with the Open Coaching Academy. Happy coaching!

Hamed Noori is an accomplished entrepreneur, coach, and educator with over 20 years of experience in leadership and management. With a background in international law, Management and a passion for peace, justice, and empowering others, he began his career as a teacher and study coach before advancing as a CEO, strategic advisor, and business leader. Since 2020, Hamed has been training new coaches at Utrecht University and has founded transformative initiatives like the (OCC), which has provided free coaching to over 2,200 students and trained 60 coaches. He later established OCAC, where he has trained over 140 participants, including students and professionals, to cultivate coaching talent and promote diversity through the principles of peace, equality, and quality education. Recognized for his contributions to student well-being and education, Hamed was honored with a Diversity and Inclusion Award nomination in 2022, celebrated as a role model for student well-being the same year, and named a game changer at Utrecht University’s Education Festival in 2023. Currently, he leads OCC and OCAC in the EU project MLIAGRO, training 20 coaches across the Netherlands, Italy, and Serbia to support the integration of migrants and locals into democratic societies.
This course is meant for advanced bachelor and master students, and professionals. The maximum number of participants is 30. Participants will be admitted on a first come, first serve basis.
The courses will start at 10 am every day, and end between 3 pm and 4 pm. Often, there will be a homework assignment, for which between one to two hours are needed, to prepare for the next day.
The mandatory reading for this course is An Introduction to Coaching Skills A Practical Guide THIRD EDITION
by Christian van Nieuwerburgh, which participants need to purchase themselves. All other course materials and handouts will be provided during the course.
The housing costs do not include a Utrecht Summer School sleeping bag. This is a separate product on the invoice. If you wish to bring your own bedding, please deselect or remove the sleeping bag from your order.
