Post-Course Practice: "Essentials of Coaching" and Certification Process

The post-course practice is an integral part of the certification process, designed to deepen your coaching skills and provide hands-on experience. Please note that enrollment in this practice is only available in combination with the course "Essentials of Coaching."

This post-course practice can be completed entirely online, allowing you to follow the procedure remotely. You will submit your evaluation reports and reflection journal via email to your supervisor, while your Coaching Sessions, Intervision Meetings, and Supervision Meeting will all take place online.

Here’s what the process entails:

• Supervisor Selection: A dedicated supervisor will be assigned to guide you through your post-course coaching practice.
• Coaching Conversations: Conduct 15 hours of coaching with 5 coachees (minimum of 3 sessions per coachee). You are required to find your own coachees and maintain professionalism by refraining from coaching family or friends. There is an option to register as an OCC coach to gain access to coachees through our booking system based on your availability. However, this is not guaranteed. Coaching conversations can be conducted online or in person, depending on your agreement with the coachee.
• Evaluation Reports: Submit detailed reports for each coaching session through the OCC platform or via email for feedback.
• Reflection Journal: Write a reflective journal entry for at least one of your coaching sessions.
• Coaching Sessions: Engage in 5 coaching sessions with an OCC coach to further refine your skills.
• Intervision Meetings: Attend at least 2 intervision meetings to collaborate and discuss coaching challenges with peers.
• Supervision Meeting: Participate in one supervision meeting with the course coordinator to review your progress and insights.

This flexible, comprehensive practice phase ensures you have the skills and experience needed to earn your certification as a Level 1 Coach in "Essentials of Coaching."
