Description

For leaders of European University Alliences and other large-scale inter-insitutional cooperations, CHARM-EU has developed a unique Winter School. It sets itself apart from traditional leadership programmes by focusing on a strategic area in higher education: inter-institutional collaborations. Navigate your challenges in inter-institutional leadership, by networking, reflecting and enhancing your leadership skills together with peers from a range of different European Universities.

Inter-institutional collaboration in higher education

Inter-institutional collaborations are key strategic drivers for higher education institutions. They support knowledge creation and transfer, develop innovative educational programmes, expand research networks, increase cultural understanding, and enhance competitive positions in global markets. These collaborations are growing, and educational leaders need to master the skills to ensure their success and maximise their impact.

Winter School for leadership skills

Enhance your leadership skills in this unique and innovative Winter School on Inter-institutional Leadership in Higher Education. It sets itself apart from traditional leadership programmes by focusing on a strategic area in higher education crucial for universities: inter-institutional collaborations, such as European University Alliances and other larger-scale inter-institutional cooperations that universities engage in. Subjects such as the management of inter-institutional collaborations, inter-cultural skills and transdisciplinary collaboration in higher education will be discussed.

Organised by CHARM-EU

This Winter School has been collaboratively developed by the CHARM-EU European University Alliance of nine European Universities: Utrecht University, University of Montpellier, Eötvös Loránd University Budapest, Åbo Akademi, University, Julius-Maximilians-University Würzburg, University of Barcelona, Trinity College Dublin, Ruhr West University of Applied Sciences, and the University of Bergen. Their expertise in inter-institutional collaborations has been consolidated to create a unique programme to train higher education academic, administrative and research leaders.

Delivered by European experts from the CHARM-EU network of universities, participants will gain professional knowledge, network with higher education leaders, and be inspired to advance inter-institutional collaborations within their own university. It is ideal for those involved in EU alliances or local inter-institutional roles, and focuses on training higher education and research leaders in inter-institutional and intercultural collaboration, project and policy development leadership, and strategy and innovation.
