The Summer School is organized by the Freudenthal Institute of the Faculty of Science of Utrecht University.
Lecturers
The course will be taught by staff members of the Freudenthal Institute. Also, guest lecturers will be invited.
Target audience
The summer school aims to attract:
- Master and PhD students in mathematics, science or STEM education
- Master and PhD students in education and learning sciences interested in mathematics and science education.
- Primary and secondary school teachers, teacher educators, curriculum and assessment developers
- Researchers in mathematics and science education
Proficiency in English is required.
Aim of the course
After completing this course you will
- be up-to-date with current trends in science and mathematics education
- have practical experience with applying your knowledge in designing teaching and learning activities
- appreciate the importance of the topics of inclusion and sustainability in science and mathematics education

Study load
Total study load is 1.5 EC. During the course week there will be daily study activities between 9:00 and 17:30.
