Neural Circuit Development and Plasticity

Unfortunately this course is currently closed, as we cannot offer this course in 2021. We expect to be able to offer the course again in the summer of 2022.  Our summerschool is aimed at advanced master students and starting PhD students with the goal to teach them on recent advances in neural circuit development and plasticity from an interdisciplinary perspective. This will be achieved in three ways: first, lectures on basic neurobiological principles by the organisers, second, a series of lectures by renowned international speakers and third, participants work on assignments that require extensive discussion between lecturers, organizers and participants.

Interprofessional Collaboration in Stroke Management

In this summer course you will work in interprofessional groups (e.g. medicine, nursing, occupational therapy, psychology, physiotherapy, speech-language therapy, social work). You will start from your own profession and knowledge of diagnosis and treatment of the problems of patients after a stroke. Afterwards, you will learn how to prepare and participate in interprofessional discussions and rounds. During the course you will enlarge your knowledge about stroke and other professions. For this we use the ICF-system (International classification of functioning, disability and health). Before the start of the Summer School there will be up to 60 hours of preparatory assignments.
