The NBS Summer School, co-organized by Utrecht University and the Delta Climate Center, provides a rich interdisciplinary learning experience focused on applying Nature-Based Solutions to address pressing environmental challenges.
Participants will take part in a comprehensive program that includes workshops, interactive lectures, and hands-on field excursions led by experts across multiple disciplines, including environmental science, law, physical geography, urban planning, hydrology, data science, and climate adaptation.
The curriculum covers a wide array of NBS approaches, such as urban ecological restoration, enhancing peatland resilience, developing sustainable urban green infrastructure, and managing flood risks in vulnerable regions. This program aims to equip participants with practical skills, theoretical knowledge, and a collaborative mindset to effectively apply NBS in real-world contexts.
