Are you able to communicate in English, but would like to become more fluent and accurate in your interaction with co-workers, clients or at the university? This Cambridge English First B1+ course will help you improve your English reading, writing and conversational skills in just one week. In small classes of up to 16 international students with a qualified teacher, you’ll advance in your learning quickly and effectively.

During this comprehensive one-week course, we will work intensively on your English reading, listening, writing and speaking skills using a wide variety of exercises. In addition to the essential vocabulary and grammar work, you can expect personalized online tests, roleplays and engaging group discussions about everyday topics such as technology, family relations, fashion and advertising. 

This course will help you:

  • expand your vocabulary;
  • train your conversational skills;
  • improve your comprehension of written and spoken English;
  • improve your pronunciation;
  • review and improve your grammar;
  • speak more fluently in every-day situations;
  • improve your writing skills;
  • acquire smart self-study strategies.

Target audience

This course corresponds with level B1+, as defined by the Common European Framework of Reference for Language (CEFR), and is suitable for students with level B1. The course is a good preparation for the Cambridge English First B2 course. 

An English language proficiency test, consisting of multiple choice questions and writing assignments must be completed in advance to determine your level. A teacher will assess your language skills and give personal advice about the most appropriate English course. Please keep in mind it can take up to 5 working days to assess your level.

Aim of the course

This course aims to improve your English listening, speaking, reading and writing skills, expand your vocabulary and help you acquire smart self-study strategies. The aim of the course is to reach level B1+.
