We will look at the EU as a business network and ecosystem using case studies and a two-day simulation. In the second week students will work on trends and business in the fashion and design industry. This takes place in Italy and students are immersed in the Italian culture and economy to work on a case study. In the third week students are back in Utrecht, where they will finalize their understanding of the trends and issues regarding international business.
This three-week course will focus more on Europe as a place to do business. In the first week we will look at the European Union as a business network and ecosystem. Next to lectures, students will work on several case studies and also take partin in a two-day simulation. In this simulation students act as representatives of the European Parliament and they need to work on the economic future of Europe.
In the second week students will work on trends and business in the fashion and design industry. This part of the course is situated in Italy and students are immersed in the Italian culture and economy to work on a case study.
The third week students are back in Utrecht, the Netherlands were they will finalize their understanding of the trends and issues regarding international business.

Students in the final phase of their bachelor/undergraduate studies.
This very intensive course requires a study load of more than 40 hours a week, divided in lectures, group work sessions, field trips and self study.
The bus transport to Italy, as well as the transport and accomodation in Italy, are included in the course fee.
Due to the arrangements that need to be made for your stay in Italy, housing for this course is mandatory.
